Huacaya Alpacas

Like many of his paternal siblings Man in Black is unmistakably a son of Champion Fawn Herdsire, CCNF Royal Ring of Fire. With the possible exceptions of Legacy Gold and Archangel no other male in Cas-Cad-Nac has been capable of stamping both their phenotype and fleece characteristics into their offspring with such amazing consistency as Ring of Fire. What is not widely known however is that though Man In Black and his sire before him owe much to the genetic power of Snowmass Royal Rose (MiB's paternal grandsire) and Peruvian Hemingway (MiB's paternal great grandsire)they owe at least an equal debt to Ring of Fire's dynamic dam, 5Peruvian Margarita. It is from his paternal granddam that Man In Black so clearly inherited the head, heavy bone, and unmistakable presence. And that is still only part of the equation! Then there is the matter of the silky black fleece that he inherited from his dam, Victoria. The same fleece qualities that made Victoria a multiple Champion have been passed on to Man In Black as well as his full sibling, Concordia currently on CCNF's show string. Man in Black's production record as of 2017 47 registered offspring 25 female 22 male 38 true black 5 bay black 4 medium brown Man in Black's head style and coverage comes through in almost every cria. We can always identify his offspring by sight. What a spectacular Herdsire!

We didn't take a bunch of really awesome pictures but if you look at Walden's numbers they tell the real story. If you are looking for a top of the line herdsire with all the right genetics and EPDs to prove it, this is your male. He didn't show as it was during a time of transition on the farm and we are not white breeders. We regret that now seeing what he has developed into but you can't change the past. We bred Walden in 2018 and the offspring are amazing. We haven't registered or shown either cria yet and they are both sold. Contact us with any questions.

This male did not do as well in the show ring as he should have. It was time when many modern grays were combined in classes with classic grays. Breakaway is a stunning, large framed black backed silver gray. He is exceptionally dense and has great staple length but would be best bred to dams with fineness. We have seen him pass his great head style, density and large frame to his offspring. If you are looking for a stud to use for a gray fiber herd, this is the stud for you.

It is the goal of every breeder to produce excellent alpacas consistently. Alpacas that are prepotent, reliably passing on their excellent qualities year after year give us greater confidence that their offspring will produce the same way. Both of Sonic Phantom’s parents have been very consistent producers for us! Phantom himself is a very typey true black male destined for the show ring. His frame is solid and boxy, and his fleece is bright with good organization and crimp structure. Phantom’s genetic line has shown themselves to be lasting fine, often holding the AFDs they have as juvis well into their mature production years (his paternal grandsire, Silver Legend of KPR, is holding stats of 20.33 / 3.98 / 19.67 / 97.68 at 14 years of age). Beyond excellent fleece, his pedigree is also very color consistent. His Sire regularly produces silver gray and black out of non-black dams, and his dam has only given us silver gray or black. We expect Phantom to carry on the consistency of his pedigree in both fleece, and color production! Fiber stats 2016 AFD: 18.55, SD: 4.0, CV: 21.5, %>30: 1.3

This a great foundation female for any black breeding program. She carries unique genetics including Man in Black and Compadre, both cornerstones of quality black programs. Because of the limited production any female offspring sired by Man in Black typically sells much higher than average price for similar females. Add to this the fact that Man in Black will be closed to outside breeding's after 2019 this is a great opportunity to acquire this combination of quality and genetics. This female comes with a breeding to A Paca Fun's Norrington. This combination should produce a spectacular offspring.
